Sometimes the best caravan weekends are not about rushing around or filling every hour with plans. Sometimes, they are simply about slowing down, enjoying the countryside and switching off for a couple of days.
That is exactly what we found during our relaxing weekend at Ashleigh Farm Caravan and Glamping in Lincolnshire.
With peaceful views, a warm welcome, incredible homemade bread and a wonderful afternoon tea delivered to our pitch, this became our favourite farm campsite.
Friday – A Warm Welcome at Ashleigh Farm Caravan and Glamping

After finishing work at lunchtime on Friday, we packed the car and headed towards Lincolnshire, arriving at Ashleigh Farm Caravan and Glamping at around 5:30pm.
We received a wonderfully warm welcome from Caroline, who took the time to show us around the site before we settled onto our pitch.
Ashleigh Farm is a beautifully maintained, peaceful site with just three hardstanding pitches and four grass pitches. Its small size gives it a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, making it the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
We were soon set up on a grass pitch with wonderful views across the surrounding countryside. Sitting outside with uninterrupted rural views, it was immediately obvious this was somewhere special.
The Best Bread We’ve Ever Tasted
For dinner on Friday evening, we kept things wonderfully simple with pâté, cheeses and freshly baked bread made by Caroline.
Before arriving, we had heard plenty of people talking about the bread, but nothing quite prepared us for just how good it was.
The sourdough and granary loaves were honestly the best bread we have ever tasted. Freshly baked, full of flavour and absolutely perfect alongside our evening meal.
It is easy to understand why so many visitors leave with a loaf or two to take home, and Ashleigh Farm Caravan and Glamping would be worth visiting for the bread alone.
Saturday – A Day to Completely Switch Off
Saturday was exactly what we hoped it would be. There was no rushing around or sightseeing first thing. Instead, we spent the day relaxing on our pitch, enjoying the peace and quiet and taking in the beautiful countryside views.
Sometimes the best weekends are the ones where you simply slow down, and Ashleigh Farm makes that incredibly easy.
Afternoon Tea Delivered to Your Pitch

Saturday afternoon brought one of the highlights of the entire weekend.
Caroline delivered one of her famous Afternoon Teas directly to our caravan pitch. Everything was beautifully presented, freshly prepared and absolutely delicious.
The sandwiches, cakes and homemade treats were exceptional, and to make the experience even more special, Caroline later returned to collect everything and even took care of the washing up.
Combined with the incredible homemade bread, the afternoon tea really is something every visitor should experience. Ashleigh Farm Caravan and Glamping would be worth visiting for the bread alone, but add in the afternoon tea and it really is heaven.
