Camping Cypsela Resort: Review

Camping Cypsela Resort touring campsite near Pals on the Costa Brava

We stayed at Camping Cypsela Resort for a week in August while touring Spain with our caravan. Set among trees near Pals on the Costa Brava, this is a large resort-style campsite with spacious touring pitches, an excellent range of facilities and plenty to see within driving distance.

This Camping Cypsela Resort review covers our experience of staying on a fully serviced touring pitch with 10-amp electricity and the added benefit of our own private bathroom.

Our Stay at Camping Cypsela Resort

We spent a week at Camping Cypsela Resort during August and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our pitch was set among the trees and had a sandy-type surface. It was very spacious, giving us plenty of room for the caravan and everything we needed for the week. We also found it easy to level the caravan when we arrived.

The pitch was fully serviced and included a 10-amp electricity supply. One of its best features was the private bathroom provided exclusively for our use throughout the stay. This was located in a nearby facilities block, cleaned for us regularly and always kept spotless.

Despite being a large resort with plenty happening throughout August, the entire campsite felt clean and well looked after. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay.

Location

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 9/10

Camping Cypsela Resort is in an excellent position for exploring this part of the Costa Brava. It is close to Pals and the historic medieval part of the town, which is well worth visiting.

The location also makes it possible to explore farther afield. Barcelona is approximately 90 minutes away by car, while Lloret de Mar can be reached in around an hour.

The campsite isn’t directly beside the beach, but a regular coach service runs between the resort and the beach. This makes it easy to enjoy the coast without needing to drive or find somewhere to park.

Facilities

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 8/10

Camping Cypsela Resort has an excellent selection of facilities for a week-long holiday.

There are several swimming pools, along with bars and a restaurant, giving guests plenty of options for relaxing, eating and drinking without leaving the resort. Nightly entertainment was also available during our August stay.

The on-site supermarket was very reasonably priced, which was particularly welcome because campsite supermarkets can sometimes charge considerably more for everyday essentials.

The regular coach service to and from the beach was another useful facility and made visiting the coast straightforward.

Cleanliness

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 9/10

The campsite was always clean, tidy and well looked after during our stay.

Our private bathroom was cleaned for us and remained spotless throughout the week. The high standard of care wasn’t limited to the bathroom, as the resort generally appeared well maintained despite being busy during the peak August season.

The cleanliness of both our private facilities and the wider campsite was one of the strongest aspects of our stay.

Pitch Quality

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 7/10

Our fully serviced pitch was very spacious and set among established trees, which helped give it a pleasant, natural setting.

The pitch had a sandy-type surface and was easy to level the caravan on. It also provided a 10-amp electricity connection and the services we needed for a comfortable week-long stay.

Having a private bathroom in a nearby block was an excellent addition. Although it wasn’t situated directly on the pitch, it was reserved exclusively for us throughout our stay and was kept exceptionally clean.

Overall, the pitch gave us plenty of space and everything we needed, although the sandy surface may not appeal to everyone.

Value for Money

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10

We felt Camping Cypsela Resort offered excellent value for money.

The combination of a spacious, fully serviced touring pitch, 10-amp electricity and an exclusively allocated private bathroom made the price particularly good value. The bathroom was cleaned for us and remained spotless throughout the week.

Guests also have access to several swimming pools, bars, a restaurant, nightly entertainment, a reasonably priced supermarket and regular transport to the beach.

Considering the quality of the facilities, the cleanliness of the resort and everything included with our pitch, we felt the campsite fully deserved a value-for-money score of 10/10.

Overall Score: 43/50

Our Verdict

Camping Cypsela Resort proved to be an excellent choice for our week on the Costa Brava.

Our spacious pitch among the trees gave us plenty of room and was easy to set up on. The fully serviced facilities and 10-amp electricity provided everything we needed, while having our own private bathroom nearby made the stay feel especially comfortable.

The resort was consistently clean and well maintained, and our bathroom was always spotless. We were also impressed by how friendly and helpful the staff were throughout our stay.

There was plenty to enjoy without leaving the campsite, including several swimming pools, bars, a restaurant, nightly entertainment and a very reasonably priced supermarket. The regular coach service to the beach was particularly convenient.

Its location near Pals also provides a good base for exploring the surrounding area, with the medieval part of Pals nearby and destinations such as Lloret de Mar and Barcelona within driving distance.

We really liked Camping Cypsela Resort and felt it offered exceptional value for money. It combines the facilities of a large holiday resort with spacious touring pitches and a high standard of cleanliness, making it a campsite we thoroughly enjoyed visiting.
