Facilities
The facilities at Eye Kettleby Lakes are among the best we have experienced.
The shower and toilet blocks are modern, spacious and maintained to an exceptionally high standard. Everything feels clean, well looked after and designed with comfort in mind.
One of the biggest highlights of the site is the fantastic bar and restaurant. Both provide a welcoming place to relax after a day out exploring, whether you’re enjoying a meal, meeting friends for a drink or simply unwinding during your stay. The quality of these facilities adds a real premium feel to the overall experience and helps set the site apart from many others.
The reception team and site staff also deserve special recognition. Every interaction we had was positive, with staff always willing to help and happy to answer any questions. They were friendly, approachable and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Their commitment to customer service plays a huge role in creating the welcoming atmosphere that Eye Kettleby Lakes is known for and they are a real credit to the site.
The only slight criticism is that the reception, bar and restaurant area can feel quite a walk from some of the Southern touring pitches. In good weather this isn’t an issue, but if it were pouring with rain, the walk back across the site could become a little less appealing. However, this is a relatively minor point when compared to the overall quality of what is on offer.
Cleanliness
Cleanliness is an area where Eye Kettleby Lakes truly excels.
Every part of the site we visited was immaculate. The shower blocks, toilet facilities, communal areas, grounds and touring pitches were all maintained to an exceptionally high standard throughout our stay.
The attention to detail is obvious, and it contributes enormously to the premium feel of the site. It’s clear that a great deal of pride is taken in maintaining the park, and it shows everywhere you look.
Pitch Quality
The touring pitches are well maintained, level and provide a comfortable base for your stay.
They are attractively laid out and fit perfectly within the beautifully landscaped surroundings. There is ample room for most touring setups, and the overall presentation is excellent.
The only reason the pitches fall just short of perfection is that a little extra width would have made them even better. While there is certainly enough space for a comfortable stay, slightly wider pitches would provide a little more separation between neighbouring units and elevate the experience further.
Even so, they remain high-quality pitches that most caravanners will be very happy with.
Value for Money
Eye Kettleby Lakes offers exceptional value for money.
When you consider the standard of the facilities, the immaculate cleanliness, the beautiful grounds, the excellent bar and restaurant, and the quality of the overall experience, it is easy to see where your money is being invested.
The site feels professionally run, exceptionally well maintained and focused on delivering a premium experience for guests. Add in the fantastic staff, who consistently go above and beyond to help visitors enjoy their stay, and the value becomes even more apparent.

While the walk from the Southern pitches to reception and the hospitality area may be a little inconvenient during bad weather, and the pitches could benefit from a touch more width, these are minor observations within what is otherwise an excellent touring experience.
Eye Kettleby Lakes is a site we would happily return to in the future and one we would have no hesitation recommending to fellow caravanners looking for a high-quality stay in Leicestershire.
