Lee & Claire
Lee and Claire had never been caravanning when they bought their first caravan in 2023. A quick video about it did well and Caravan Trails grew from there. Expect honest campsite reviews, caravan DIY projects and down-to-earth Sunday vlogs from family parks, adult-only sites and unique luxury stays.
Back in 2023 I came home from work one day and said to Claire, ‘We should get a caravan!’ We thought it would be a great way to explore the UK and try lots of campsites. We have never had a caravan before and not come from a caravanning background, so we were definitely going into the unknown! We decided the best thing to do was get an older, cheaper second-hand caravan. We didn’t just want to go ahead and spend thousands of pounds just in case we didn’t like it. So the hunt on Facebook and eBay began. We viewed a few, then found one we liked!
We got the caravan home and then decided to do a little video on YouTube about what we had bought. We never thought we would get that many views, but the video did well and people started to subscribe. We started to vlog our journey of being first-time caravan owners and our channel continued to grow.
Three years on and we haven’t looked back. Getting the caravan was one of the best things we have done, it’s given us so much freedom to get out and explore the UK. We enjoy trying different caravan parks, such as family holiday parks, adult-only sites and even some luxury unique campsites.
After our first season of using the caravan we decided it needed a makeover. So in the winter of 2025 the renovation began! It took us just over 3 months to complete it. We were thrilled with the results, so much so we still have the caravan today!
If you’re looking for honest campsite reviews, recommendations, caravan DIY projects or just a down-to-earth Sunday vlog to watch from one of our campsite stays, then we would love to see you over at our channel on YouTube.

“The freedom to just hook up and go whenever you feel like it. Sometimes we love an on-site pub and live music. Other times it could be a small 5-pitch CL site. Caravanning gives you so much flexibility. A 2-night stay somewhere local can still feel like you’re hours away from home.”
