This Bosworth Lakeside Lodges review covers the pitches, facilities, atmosphere, and overall touring experience during our stay. Bosworth Lakeside Lodges offers a very different touring experience compared to many traditional UK caravan parks. With large lakes, watersports, fishing, open space, and plenty happening around the site, it feels more like a leisure destination than a quiet countryside campsite.
Located near Market Bosworth in Leicestershire, the site combines touring pitches with lodge accommodation, lakeside walks, family activities, and scenic waterside views. It is a site that will particularly appeal to caravanners who enjoy having plenty to do during their stay.
The lakes themselves are easily the standout feature and immediately give the site a relaxing atmosphere, especially during warmer weather when the water reflects the evening sun across the park.
You can find more information about the site, facilities, and availability on the official Bosworth Lakeside Lodges website.
Arrival and First Impressions
Arrival at the site was fairly straightforward, with gated access leading down towards the reception area and touring pitches.
The overall atmosphere felt relaxed and family-friendly from the moment we arrived. However, the site definitely feels busier and more activity-focused than many quieter touring parks.
The large lakes around the site immediately stand out and create a very different atmosphere compared to a standard caravan site.
The Pitches
The touring area includes a mixture of hardstanding, grass, and fully serviced lakeside pitches.
The waterside pitches are definitely the highlight, offering lovely views directly across the lake and creating a far more scenic touring experience than many inland caravan parks.
Pitch sizes generally felt practical and spacious enough for caravans, awnings, and cars without feeling overly cramped.
Walking around the lake itself could sometimes be difficult because of the amount of duck poo around certain paths and lakeside areas. That is naturally something to be expected on a site built around lakes and wildlife, but it was noticeable during our stay.
Choosing the right pitch type can make a huge difference to your touring experience. Read our What Is a Fully Serviced Pitch? guide for more information.
Facilities
The facilities were probably the weakest part of the overall experience for us.
While the toilets and showers appeared reasonably clean, we were not overly impressed with them overall and felt they now need modernisation to better match the rest of the site.
The onsite shop was also fairly basic and limited compared to what many larger touring parks now offer.
However, the amount of activities available around the park does help balance this out.
- Watersports activities
- Fishing lakes
- Children’s play areas
- Crazy golf
- Tennis court
- Lakeside beach area
- Small onsite shop
For families especially, there is certainly plenty available onsite to keep everyone occupied during a stay.
Location
The location works very well as a touring base for exploring the surrounding area.
One of the biggest nearby highlights is Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre, which is only a short drive away and makes for a great day out.
Market Bosworth itself also offers pubs, cafés, and smaller local shops nearby.
Although the site has peaceful lakeside areas, it is not a completely quiet countryside escape and can feel busier during peak periods.

Overall Atmosphere
What makes Bosworth Lakeside Lodges stand out is the balance between touring and leisure activities.
Some caravanners will absolutely love having lakeside scenery, watersports, fishing, and family entertainment all in one place.
Others looking for a quieter luxury touring experience with modern premium facilities may feel the site falls slightly short in certain areas.
Overall though, the site felt relaxed, scenic, and enjoyable throughout our stay.
