Ludlow Touring Park is one of those sites that immediately feels incredibly well organised from the moment you arrive. Set within neatly landscaped grounds beside the River Teme, the park offers excellent infrastructure and spacious touring pitches. The welcoming atmosphere creates a touring experience that is difficult to fault.
During our stay, it quickly became clear why the site enjoys such a strong reputation. The grounds are exceptionally well maintained. The facilities are modern and spotless. Every aspect of the guest experience feels carefully considered.
From the attractive surroundings to the high standard of maintenance, Ludlow Touring Park consistently delivers a quality experience that leaves a lasting impression.
Location
Located just outside the historic market town of Ludlow in Shropshire, Ludlow Touring Park offers a peaceful setting while remaining conveniently positioned for exploring the local area.
The site feels relaxed and tranquil. Its riverside position and landscaped parkland create an attractive environment throughout. Local amenities, independent food shops, and historic attractions are all within easy reach via the A49. A bus stop directly outside the entrance also makes it an excellent base for both short breaks and longer stays.
Whether you’re exploring the Shropshire Hills and Welsh Marches or simply relaxing on site, Ludlow Touring Park offers an excellent balance between convenience and tranquillity.
Facilities
The shower and toilet blocks are modern, spacious, centrally heated, and maintained to an exceptionally high standard. Everything feels clean, well looked after, and designed with comfort in mind.
The site does not have a permanent bar or restaurant. However, regular weekend food trucks and beverage pop-ups provide an excellent alternative. The on-site shop, information room, and secure dog field also add to the premium feel of the park.
The reception team and site staff deserve special recognition. Every interaction we had was positive. Staff were always willing to help and happy to answer questions. They were friendly, approachable, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Their commitment to customer service creates the welcoming atmosphere the park is known for. They are a real credit to the site.
The only slight criticism is that the modern, uniform layout can feel a little rigid if you prefer a more natural countryside setting. However, this is only a minor point when compared with the overall quality and security on offer.
Cleanliness
Cleanliness is an area where Ludlow Touring Park truly excels. Every part of the site we visited was immaculate. The shower blocks, toilet facilities, communal areas, grounds, and touring pitches were maintained to an exceptionally high standard. That standard remained consistent throughout our stay.
The attention to detail is obvious, and it contributes enormously to the premium feel of the park. It is clear that a great deal of pride is taken in maintaining the site, and it shows everywhere you look.
Pitch Quality
The touring pitches are well maintained, level, and provide a comfortable base for your stay.
They are designed as Super Pitches. Each one includes 16-amp electricity, fresh water, grey waste drainage, and a digital TV connection. The layout works well within the neatly divided surroundings. There is ample room for most touring setups.
The only drawback is that the privacy hedging and boundary fences can slightly restrict the views from your awning. Even so, there is plenty of space for a comfortable stay.
They remain high-quality pitches that most caravanners will be very happy with.
Value for Money
Ludlow Touring Park offers exceptional value for money.
The excellent infrastructure, immaculate cleanliness, beautiful grounds, and high-quality pitches justify the price. It is easy to see where your money is being invested.
The site feels professionally run, exceptionally well maintained, and focused on delivering a reliable experience. The fantastic staff also add significant value. They consistently go above and beyond to help visitors enjoy their stay.
Final Verdict
Ludlow Touring Park delivers a premium touring experience from start to finish. The beautifully maintained grounds, exceptional cleanliness, excellent facilities, and fantastic location make this one of the most enjoyable sites we have visited.
The staff deserve special praise. Every member of the team we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Their willingness to help guests enhances the overall experience. Their pride in the park also makes visitors feel genuinely valued. They are a real credit to the site.
While the modern layout could benefit from a little more open character, and an on-site pub or restaurant would be a welcome addition, these are only minor observations.
We would happily return to Ludlow Touring Park in the future. We also have no hesitation recommending it to fellow caravanners looking for a high-quality stay in Shropshire.
